With tracks off Drake’s soon to be released album, Take Care, already breaching the Billboard Top Ten before the album release we can start to visualize that the YMCMB crew may be passing down the torch. Business strategy, fate, who knows, but Drizzy’s following and musical output can now be put along the same lines as his master, Lil Wayne. As Weezy approaches 30 (now 29), his glamour will no longer contain the same Young Money swagger it once had. We can view this as Drake, now 25, overcoming the natural tale of time, replenishing the YMCMB motto (with counterpart Nicki Minaj, now 28, drawing in the female market). Ultimately, the growing YMCMB business will grant Lil Wayne enough money to live to old age in immense steadily growing wealth. He has accomplished his ultimate goal, and soon Dr. Carter can sit back and hope his Young Money farm team raises another YMCMB star into the majors. - S.R.

I know Ambition has been out for 13 days already, but I really had to let that bitch breathe. This was a big album for Wale and I wanted to judge it the best I could. You know I had to bump it in the whip to get the real feel of the record. I went back to our old style with the grades for this review so comment if you like or dislike that. Overall I think Wale put out a quality project. Was it what we all were expecting? Hit the jump and find out.

Wale’s Ambition Debuts At #2 With Almost 163K Copies Sold
After what seems like months of promotion from Wale and the rest of the MMG clan, Mr. Folarin has the #2 album in the country. The final tally came in today putting Wale’s Ambition just under 163k copies sold its first week on the market. Wale comes in the second spot only to Justin Bieber who released his Christmas album last Wednesday. 162,660 is the official number and its looking a hell of a lot better than Attention Deficit’s first week. Props and congrats to Wale and his entire team! #Ambition

Wale Enlists Ne-Yo, Lloyd & Miguel For Ambition
With Ambition just over a month from dropping, XXL was able to get a sneak preview of DC’s finest sophomore album. Instead of bringing a lot of rap features for the record, like most young artists do, Wale is bringing the best of R&B to his music allowing his rapping to be the main “hip-hop” focus of the album. We learned that Wale has Ne-Yo on a track called “White Linen [Coolin]“, Lloyd on a track called “Sabotage”, and Miguel on “Lotus Flower Bomb”. The title track “Ambition” features his MMG boys Rozay and Meek Mill, but there are no other confirmed rap features besides that and Kid Cudi on a hook. Wale & the NUE Agency have announced Wale’s newest tour featuring his main man from BOA, Black Cobain. They’ll be hitting 40 cities across the country and tickets are on pre-sale now. Ambition drops on November 1st when the tour takes a little break, but Mr. Folarin will probably be in the NYC area around then. This should be a dope tour and this album should be insane (most definitely an upgrade from Wale’s freshman album). Check the jump for the full tour list.
