Lil Wayne’s Master Plan

With tracks off Drake’s soon to be released album, Take Care, already breaching the Billboard Top Ten before the album release we can start to visualize that the YMCMB crew may be passing down the torch. Business strategy, fate, who knows, but Drizzy’s following and musical output can now be put along the same lines as his master, Lil Wayne. As Weezy approaches 30 (now 29), his glamour will no longer contain the same Young Money swagger it once had. We can view this as Drake, now 25, overcoming the natural tale of time, replenishing the YMCMB motto (with counterpart Nicki Minaj, now 28, drawing in the female market). Ultimately, the growing YMCMB business will grant Lil Wayne enough money to live to old age in immense steadily growing wealth. He has accomplished his ultimate goal, and soon Dr. Carter can sit back and hope his Young Money farm team raises another YMCMB star into the majors. - S.R.

J. Cole Vs. Travis Barker ESPN Baseball Tonight Theme Song Contest

ESPN has been conducting this pretty dope contest to spruce up their Baseball Tonight Theme Song. This week the voting is between J. Cole and Travis Barker. Check out both their versions below and vote here.
ESPN enlisted the help of notable musicians to provide their distinctive interpretations of the “Baseball Tonight” theme song during the 2011 season. We’ve already featured these versions of the song on air and in the ESPN Music section, but now we want you to help us crown the best version of them all.
For 11 weeks, we’ll have two artists square off in a poll for you to vote on. The winner will then face the next artist on the schedule and so on until the final week, when we’ll see who is the last one standing (full schedule at the bottom). Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker scored his second comeback victory in a row by knocking off Seether in Week 4 to earn the right to take on J. Cole this week. So vote in the poll at the right of this page now through Sept. 1
